Situated at the end of a picturesque valley, Frog Mountain Getaway offers a peaceful and tranquil experience. Guests can enjoy the soothing sounds of birdsong and the breathtaking views from the top of the ridge. The cottages are well-equipped for self-catering and provide all the necessary amenities. Visitors can relax on the porch and watch the sunset, while kids can have fun in the play area. The beds are comfortable with good quality linen, ensuring a restful sleep.

Some amenities, such as a torch and mosquito repellent, were not provided, which can be inconvenient for guests.

Our family had a fantastic time at Frog Mountain. We stayed for a week and the kids had an absolute blast. They loved the canoes, foefie slide, waterfall, and swimming pool. It was the perfect setting for them to enjoy nature and all its adventures. The cottages were beautifully renovated, with jacuzzis and indoor fireplaces. The kitchen was well stocked with LeCreuset items and brand-new pots and pans. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly, and their Collie hoarding the horses and donkeys provided lots of laughs.

Beautiful location with fenced property for dogs. Ample bathrooms and comforts of home, including washing machine. Loads of outdoor activities available. Resident animals provide unique experience.

The natural beauty of the surroundings was breathtaking, with walks, canoeing, and even the chance to go fishing. The facilities were excellent and I felt safe and well taken care of. The children had a blast playing ping pong and interacting with the friendly dogs. I even spotted a genet and some baboons during my stay.

We had a blast at Frog Mountain Getaway! The kids loved the canoes, foefie slide, and swimming pool. There were plenty of activities to keep them entertained. The location was beautiful and serene, perfect for reconnecting with nature. The house we stayed in, Sams Place, was spacious and fully equipped with all the comforts of home. Our dogs were able to roam freely in the fenced property. The resident animals, including donkeys and horses, added to the charm of the place. It was a fantastic experience for our city kids to enjoy nature and adventures. We will definitely be back!

It seems that crossing the river with young children can be challenging, as mentioned in one of the reviews.

The setting allowed them to freely explore nature and we felt at ease. The farm animals, peaceful surroundings, and eco-friendly efforts of the owners were a bonus. Our cozy rondavel had stunning views and comfortable beds. The well-equipped kitchen made self-catering a breeze. This was the highlight of our South Africa trip!
