I had an unforgettable experience at Frog Mountain Getaway! The scenery was breathtaking, with stunning mountains and a beautiful river. I couldn't resist taking a dip, even though it was winter. My kids had a blast playing in the river too! The highlight of our stay was definitely cuddling and feeding the baby porcupine. It was a truly unique experience that we will never forget. The cottage we stayed in was basic but clean and comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. We enjoyed cooking on the braai facilities and eating outside on the spacious stoep with a view of the green hills and birdlife. The nights were quiet and peaceful, perfect for stargazing. The surrounding area offered plenty of activities, such as hiking to the waterfall and swimming and kayaking in the river. We also loved exploring nearby attractions like the Tradouw Pass and Warmwaterberg Spa. The warm hospitality and helpfulness of Gabrielle and her family made our stay even more enjoyable. They have created a slice of heaven at Frog Mountain Getaway. I highly recommend this unique and amazing experience!

We had an amazing time at this beautiful mountain retreat. The cottages were tastefully renovated and had jacuzzis and indoor fireplaces to keep us cozy. The kitchen was stocked with top-notch LeCreuset items and brand-new pots and pans. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly, and we had a good laugh watching their Collie herd the horses and donkeys. It was a perfect family getaway, and our kids had a blast with the host's guide, James. Highly recommended for families with kids.
Breakfast delights could be improved with a few more options.

The location was perfect for outdoor activities, with hiking and cycling trails right at our doorstep. We spent the days exploring the beautiful surroundings, taking in the stunning views and enjoying the fresh air. The kids were thrilled to go fishing in the nearby river, and we even had a chance to visit the Swellendam Golf Course, which was just a short drive away. It was an action-packed holiday that allowed us to bond as a family and create unforgettable memories.
For dads, it would be great if there were more organized activities specifically designed for families with children.
